Baby Showers are
a great way to not only help support a mother by showering her with gifts for
her new baby, but it's also a wonderful way to let the mother know that her
friends love her and will always be there when the parenting gets hectic.
A Dash of Panache
is a great place to hold a baby shower because we understand the importance of a
fun and memorable shower that tells the mom how much her friends love and
appreciate her. Not only will the mom be showered with gifts, from her friends,
to help her on her new journey, but we will provide the invitations, games,
activities, laughter (occurs naturally), and great food to make
the event a life-long memory. Not only will we help you plan the shower, but we
will setup and organize it, manage it, and clean up the mess when it is over!
Early reservations are required. Prices vary depending on
number of guests, desired food/beverages/refreshments/desserts/snacks, and
desired activities.
Features of our Deluxe Baby Shower1
- Exclusive use of the French-Deco Tea Parlor
- A dedicated party host to ensure your guests have a
wonderful time. The host will keep your event organized and will lead out in
an ice breaker, various games, food courses, group photo, prizes, etc.
- Free access to our Vanity
Closet. Your party will come to life as guests accessorize with hats,
boas, jewelry, scarves, glasses, and other fun items. The giggles will start
and the cameras will flash, and the party memories will flow!
- Group Ice Breaker to help your guests get closer to
those they don't know very well...even those they do know well.
- Variety of Games that might include games like:
- Baby Word Game--How will Mom Answer these Questions?
- A fun group game that results in some hilarious written
stories that the mom-to-be can put in her scrap book.
- Diaper Pin and Taboo Words/Actions (catch each other saying this or
doing that in order to win)
- Baby Names
- Others
- 3 Shower Game Prizes valued around $5.00/ea.
Because some games are team-based, we might pass out tickets that are entered
into a drawing for the prizes (the more tickets you win, the higher the
chances of winning a prize). Occasionally, local vendors donate gift
certificates and other valuable products but we can't guarantee the timing or
availability. In some cases, the primary contact person (you) chooses to
provide their own custom gifts (typically higher-value or specifically themed)
or supplement additional gifts to allow for more winners.
- Group Photo (free 4x6 for the mom). We'll be happy
to also take group pictures with all of your cameras too.
- Custom Invitations, Envelopes, and Direction
Cards (we create the templates, customize the text, and have them printed onto
quality invitation card stock). 10 sets are included in the party package and
extras cost only 95¢/ea.
- Excellent Tea Sitting Meal varies depending on your
choice of a High Tea or a Luncheon Tea (or "Bruncheon" Tea)
- Selection of our loose-leaf Tea or Iced Tea
- Fresh-baked Scones
- Fresh-baked mini Cinnamon Rolls
- Fresh Fruit
- Variety of Petite Sandwiches
- Gourmet Salad
- Gourmet Soup (High Tea only)
- Vegetable Quiche (High Tea only)
- Beautifully Decorated Cake (or Petit Fours for the
purists...but everyone usually wants the moist cake for showers)

Charge (covers dedicated hostess, private room, initial set of
invitations, games, group photo, prizes, etc.) plus,
- The everyday Tea sitting price of
$18.95/ea (Luncheon Tea) or
$22.95/ea (High Tea).
All guests must participate in the same sitting type. Children less than 12
years old receive everyday discounted pricing of $15.95/ea
and $19.95/ea respectively.
- A Deposit is required to reserve the room. The
deposit consists of the Shower Event Charge PLUS the everyday tea
sitting payment for the first 10 adults (even if you are expecting less
than 10 adults).
For example, if you are booking a Baby Shower Tea using the Luncheon Tea
sitting prices, the deposit will be $110 + ($18.95 x 10 = $180.95) for a total
of $290.95 (plus 8.25% tax). This will cover the first 10 guests.
Fine Print: Because of minimum price requirements and
other complexities, we must charge adult pricing for the first 10 guests, not
child pricing (child pricing can apply to children <12y after the deposit). Remember that the
mom is included in the count! We are sorry
that we require the minimum but we have to close our tea parlor to the
public during this event.
- We require only a 72-Hour Final Headcount (so we can
ensure we have time to setup and bake appropriately). Compare that to
restaurants and banquet rooms that require guest counts far in advance. Your
final payment will be based on this Final Headcount number (less the first 10
adults that were already paid for in the deposit above). We will help you
select an RSVP date ahead of this 72-Hour deadline so you have time to contact
those who forget to RSVP (because it's a bummer having to pay for people that
don't show up). Be careful not to underestimate the Final Headcount because we
only prepare tables and food for the count you give us.
Fine Print: If the Final Count is less than 10, there is
no refund. If fewer guests show up than the Final Headcount predicted, you
will still be charged for the Final Headcount number (because we prepared for
them). If extra guests (beyond the Final Headcount) show up at the event, we
unfortunately reserve the right to either refuse their admittance or require
full payment for them even if we are not able to provide adequate food or
table seating for them. Please, oh please, oh please get good RSVPs so neither
you nor us get into that embarrassing situation.
- At the end of the event, a bill will be on hold for the
balance owed. Since the first 10 adults were paid for in the Deposit, this
bill will contain only tea sitting charges for the remainder of the guests
(not counting the first 10) as
per the 72-hour Final Headcount PLUS a low 16%
gratuity on the total party cost (Shower Event Charge plus all tea
sitting costs, excluding taxes of course).
Fine Print: Because the 16% gratuity is very low
compared to other locations that might host a shower, you are more than
welcome to pay more than that amount, but you are not expected to. Our
associates will try to exceed your expectations regardless of your tipping
habits.

Basic Baby Shower Pricing (Invitations,
Private Room, Dedicated Hostess, Games, Prizes, Cake, Beverage,
Vanity Closet, Group Photo):
- $110 Shower Event
Charge (covers dedicated hostess, private room, initial set of
invitations, games, group photo, prizes, etc.) plus,
- $10 per Guest
(minimum 15 guests)
Fine Print: Same price for adults and children. Remember
that the mom is included in the count! We are sorry that we require the
minimum but we have to close our tea parlor to the public during this event.
- A Deposit is required to reserve the room. The
deposit consists of the Shower Event Charge PLUS the per guest charge
(above) for the first 15 people (even if you are expecting less than 15).
For example, if you are booking a Basic Baby Shower, the deposit will be
$110 + ($10 x 15 = $150) for a total of $260 (plus 8.25% tax). This will cover
the first 15 guests.
- We require only a 72-Hour Final Headcount (so we can
ensure we have time to setup and bake appropriately). Compare that to
restaurants and banquet rooms that require guest counts far in advance. Your
final payment will be based on this Final Headcount number (less the first 15
guests that were already paid for in the deposit above). We will help you

We also provide a variety of optional services including:
- Customized DVD Video of the shower ($125). Showing
the event, arrival and dress-up, guest's individual messages to the guest of
honor
(including freezing faces and fading from one face into the next between
guests' messages), presents, games, and other
memorable footage (each section is a different DVD menu option, professional
transitions and background music is included).
- Photo Packages (we can also shoot individual photos
if arranged ahead of time)
- 4x6 prints at $4/ea
- Combo set: 2 4x6 prints and 3 2x3 prints at $10/set
- 8x10 prints at $10/ea
- Deluxe Game Prizes (You specify the dollar value)
- Thank You Cards (cards and envelopes)
- Chauffeured Limousine pickup and drop off. Prices
vary depending on date, events in the region, pickup and drop off location,
number of people riding (determines the size/price of the limo), etc. The best
value is the minimum 3-hour rental which allows for cruise around time before
the party, beverages in car, photo opportunities, etc. Contact our party
coordinator for details but a typical price range is roughly $280-400.
- Deluxe Game Prizes:
Unless told otherwise, we will provide the game prizes
as described above in the corresponding shower package. Optional Deluxe Game Prizes
for higher-value than above can be provided as an option. These are typically nicer gift shop
items, gift sets, or certificates of our choosing for the dollar value of your
choosing. So let us know what you want to do!

in Placer County near the I-80
Corridor (Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, Antelope, North Highlands, Citrus
Heights, Orangevale, Loomis, Penryn, Auburn) and only a short drive for other neighboring
California cities (Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Carmichael, Orangevale, Lincoln, El Dorado
